No language choice! 24/3/1

I live in Japan and have Japanese credit card so my App Store is the Japanese version (which is already difficult for me) and I wanted to play this game and also have seen it’s available in English but there was no option to choose language at all when first starting it. That should be the no. 1 thing offered when opening the app or at least be one of the options in the side bar on the opening screen. I cannot read Kanji! And only understand so much spoken Japanese (kinda wanted to use the game to get better). Why is the app available in English but you cannot choose the language?! And if I can later on then why is it after the intro?! Really bad set-up! There are also foreigners living in Japan.
