What happened to my hotbar? 24/6/15

It’s probably a bug, but if it’s a feature, I’m coming for you Mojang. I play Minecraft on my phone and after going back on Minecraft to try out the new update, I found a bug that won’t let you equip your item or access your inventory unless you tap the hotbar multiple times repeatedly and rapidly. This is the only problem I have currently and I do need it fixed. Please, fix this, Mojang. On a side note, there’s this other bug where the “up” button when flying is merged with the “down” button. It’s not as inconvenient as the previously mentioned hotbar bug but it would be nice to have it gone as well. Please and thank you.
